Thanks for your comments. Glad to hear this work for you. Indeed the http to https redirect was a painful bit to workaround. At the time our Google support ticket on that matter had a response that this auto redirect has been raise many times.before and google LB team are looking to release an alpha feature to enable this redirection sometime in 2020.
